Addiction Therapist
Addiction therapist supporting adults with addiction-related difficulties, emotional distress, life transitions, stress, burnout and relationship challenges, using a humanistic, motivational and individually tailored approach.
I support adults who are experiencing emotional difficulties, life transitions, and problems related to addiction, offering therapy in an atmosphere of respect, warmth and safety.
For over eight years, I provided emotional support to young people from different European countries as part of an international student internship programme at the University of Warsaw.
In this role, I accompanied them through experiences of stress, loneliness and the challenges of entering adulthood. This work taught me that every person — regardless of the stage of life they are in — holds the potential for real change and growth.
I completed specialist training in addiction therapy at the BROK Addiction Therapy Institute, and I am currently studying Psychology at VIZJA University in Warsaw.
I work under regular supervision and continue to develop my qualifications.
I work with adults facing a wide range of challenges, including substance addiction and behavioural addictions, as well as people affected by stress, burnout, emotional overload, loneliness and life transitions.
I also support partners, parents, friends and family members who want to understand the mechanisms of addiction and learn how to help without losing themselves in the process.
I work in Polish and English.
In my therapeutic work, I am particularly close to a humanistic and motivational approach. The values that guide me are authenticity, empathy and acceptance.
Depending on the client’s needs, I integrate elements of different approaches, including a humanistic perspective, motivational interviewing and selected cognitive-behavioural techniques.
This allows us to create a realistic and supportive plan for change, including identifying triggers, strengthening boundaries and building a healthier support network.
An important part of my work is supporting people going through life crises, adaptation difficulties and the emotional challenges connected with major transitions, such as moving house, changing jobs or entering a new phase of life.
I am especially interested in supporting young adults navigating the uncertainty of early adulthood, as well as people experiencing loneliness, isolation and emotional instability.
I also work with women balancing professional life and motherhood, supporting them in managing pressure, emotional overload and the difficulty of combining multiple roles.
Another area of my work involves interpersonal difficulties and the process of building healthier, more satisfying relationships. Healing often begins with understanding the emotions, relational patterns and inner struggles that may lie beneath compulsive behaviours or emotional suffering.
The values that guide my work are respect, authenticity and attentiveness. I see therapy as a collaborative space of safety and understanding — not pressure or judgement.
I believe that each person deserves support tailored to their individual situation and pace of change.
