Trauma support in the UK

Trauma can affect how you feel, think and relate to others, sometimes long after difficult experiences have happened. Therapy can offer a safe space to begin making sense of what you have been through, at a pace that feels right for you.

What you may be experiencing

  • Feeling constantly on edge or unsafe
  • Flashbacks or intrusive memories
  • Emotional numbness or disconnection
  • Difficulty sleeping or relaxing
  • Avoiding people, places or situations that feel triggering
  • Feeling overwhelmed, ashamed or stuck

How therapy can help

Trauma can affect people in different ways. For some, the effects are immediate. For others, they may show up much later in the form of anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm or a persistent sense of not feeling like themselves.

Therapy can help you explore these experiences safely and gently. It can provide space to understand how trauma may be affecting your thoughts, emotions, body and everyday life, while supporting you to build a greater sense of safety, stability and self-understanding.

Depending on your needs, therapy may focus on emotional support, making sense of past experiences, recognising patterns, and developing ways of coping that feel more grounding and manageable.

Our approach

We understand that trauma work requires care, sensitivity and trust. We do not believe in pushing people to talk before they feel ready. Therapy is paced around your needs, with attention to safety, stability and the therapeutic relationship.

We take time to understand your situation and match you with a therapist whose experience and approach feel appropriate for you. Our aim is to offer support that feels respectful, thoughtful and grounded.

All sessions are offered online, making support accessible across the UK and easier to fit around everyday life.
